Paid Internship Software Engineering (Data and Analytics) 

The Role in Brief:
Be a part of something important this summer and help us cut food waste.  FreshSurety, a start-up located here in Altamonte Springs, is looking for multiple Software Engineering Interns, (rising seniors, new graduates & grad students) seeking practical implementation of their new programming, machine learning, and data processing skills to bring our cloud based Rules Engine to market.  This tool working with our proprietary sensor platform impacts the fresh food distribution chain by helping decision makers make better choices shipping fresh foods.

Your primary role will be part of a creative team building a real product, gaining real world experience with software systems and frameworks for large-scale data analytics, tools for machine learning, web apps for data visualization, while earning money.

You won’t be stuck in a cubical working a 9 to 5 job, we expect you to have passion and bring that passion to the job. Your creativity and vision for the product is key and will make a difference.

What You’ll Be Doing:
– Collaborate with distributed teams to integrate machine-learning models into production software systems
– Build software for end-to-end products based on machine learning and analytics
– You will communicate and coordinate effectively with software engineers, and customer-facing teams data processing pipelines for analyzing gigabyte to terabyte-scale data from multiple sources
– Perform other technical tasks as needed, including writing technical documentations, project reports, managing, implementing, and/or maintaining technical infrastructure, etc.

Must Haves:
– Education: working on a Bachelor’s Degree in an quantitative software field. – Familiarity with data science, statistical analysis, analytics, or business intelligence
– Working knowledge of Matlab Programming or hands-on experience with another high-level programming language in a related context
– Ability to present to, communicate with, and collaborate well with non-technical people
– Demonstrated interest in learning a wide range of new skills
